What is Containers for Change?

Containers for Change is Queensland’s 10 cent refund scheme for eligible empty drink containers. For schools and community groups, it provides a practical way to raise funds while encouraging recycling and environmental responsibility.

P&Cs QLD has partnered with Containers for Change to help bring resources, infrastructure and inspiration to members so more schools can participate through the Wave of Change program.

Get free bins delivered to your school for use across campus and at school-based events.

Access free collection of empty containers once your bins are full.

Encourage families to donate containers during school pick-up and drop-off.

Receive a free take-home recycling bag for each student.

Educate students about recycling, sustainability and keeping school environments clean.

Use free marketing resources to promote your school’s recycling and fundraising efforts.

Get involved

A successful Containers for Change program works best when the P&C, school leadership, teachers and families are all involved. Funds are paid into the P&C bank account to ensure they are used in the best interests of the school.
